While the 66ers hosted the Lancaster JetHawks at Arrowhead Credit Union Park Sunday, Pedro Baez was in Anaheim participating in the 2010 All-Star Futures Game.
The third baseman pinch-hit and went 1-for-2 for the World Futures in a 9-1 loss to the U.S. Futures.

In 37 games for the 66ers this season, Baez is hitting .284 with four home runs and 17 runs batted in

Dodgers Star Scheduled to Rehab With 66ers Saturday

San Bernardino, CA – Los Angeles Dodgers Outfielder Manny Ramirez is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with the Inland Empire 66ers, Class A Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, on Saturday, July 10th, at 7:05 p.m. when they take on the Lancaster JetHawks. 

Dodgers Manager Joe Torre confirmed the news on Thursday at Dodgers Stadium that Manny Ramirez would DH for Inland Empire on Saturday and would play in however many games he needs. Dodgers Catcher Brad Ausmus is also scheduled to continue his rehab assignment with the Inland Empire 66ers on Saturday .

Ramirez, 38, has been on the disabled list retroactive to June 30 with a right hamstring strain. This will be his second rehab stint with Inland Empire this season. He played in two games in early May while the team was in Lake Elsinore, coming off a right calf strain at the time.

During his two rehab starts with the 66ers this season, he went 1-for-4, with an RBI.

Ironically, Ramirez is scheduled to start on Saturday when the 66ers will give away Manny Ramirez action figures to the first 1,000 kids (12 and under).

Fans can save up to 33 percent on tickets by signing up a group of 20 or more people or by buying a mini ticket plan, which start as low as $36. Luxury terraces and picnic patio areas are still available for Saturday’s game.

Back by “PUP”ular Demand EVERY Wednesday
Bark In the Park 

Calling all Labradors, Terriers, Bulldogs and Bassett Hounds.  All of man’s best friends, from Afghans to Yorkies are invited to Arrowhead Credit Union Park for free (adults admitted for just $4 per person) during the Dog Days of summer, every Wednesday the rest of the year.

The Inland Empire 66ers, Class ‘A’ Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, want all canines to come see the 66ers nine take the field every Wednesday for the remainder of the 2010 season.  All dogs must be leashed, and all owners must pick up any souvenirs left at Arrowhead Credit Union Park by man’s best friend.

As an extra special bonus, the 66ers will welcome all pups to the park for Thursday May 27th for a Thirsty Thursday addition of Bark in the Ballpark.

Kyle Russell Named California League Player of the Week

Inland Empire 66ers Outfielder Kyle Russell is the California League Player of the Week for May 17th-23rd.  Russell won the award for the second time this season hitting a home run in four consecutive games.  He also scored nine runs and collected 15 RBI’s during the week.

The 66ers leading hitter went 11 for 25 (.440) in six games, and took over as the California League leader in home runs (10), while moving back into the top five in RBI (tied for 3rd- 38), top 10 in runs scored (tied for 7th- 32) and top 12 in batting average (12th- .335).

During the hot streak Russell also helped lead the team to a winning road trip, which wraps up tonight in Rancho Cucamonga. If the 66ers can defeat the Quakes they will have won five of seven games on the road trip and taken both series at the Epicenter from their I-10 rivals.

Russell and the Inland Empire 66ers return home on Wednesday, May 26th for a four game series with the Bakersfield Blaze. The series will feature national performing act the Inflatamaniacs on Friday the 28th, also a Toyota of Redlands 50 cent Friday, and a Saturday Fireworks Spectacular on May 29th.

The 66ers are excited to bring back our Scout Sleepovers for the 2010 season! This year the Girl Scout Sleepover will take place on May 14th and the Scout Sleepover will take place on June 11th.

The 66ers are inviting all Scouts, young and old to participate in these wonderful events! For just $13.00 each campers will receive: a reserved ticket to the night’s game, participation in our pre-game scout parade, voucher for a hot dog & soda, official 66ers Scout Patch, overnight camp-out on the field, option to run the bases after the game, an overnight snack, movie on our BRAND NEW video board, and breakfast on Saturday morning. Individual Game Tickets Available Online Monday

Opening day is less than a month away, and buying 66ers tickets for any and all of the 70 home games in 2010 is now easier and more affordable than ever.  Inland Empire fans can purchase their individual game tickets Monday during an exclusive web presale at www.66ers.com at 9:00 AM.  Plus, thanks to the 66ers new and improved partnership with Ticketmaster, fans can print their tickets at home for free. 

“The average family of four buying tickets on line this season will see online purchasing fees reduced by more than 60 percent compared to 2009,” said 66ers Director of Ticketing Joe Fargnoli.  

“There are no more print at home fees in 2010,” added Geoff Carns, General Manager for Ticketmaster Los Angeles. “We’re working together to make fees family friendly, and online purchasing much more affordable for 66ers baseball fans buying through Ticketmaster.”

The Inland Empire 66ers open the 2010 home season on Monday, April 12th at 7:05 PM, against the High Desert Mavericks.  The opening homestand is highlighted by the first Saturday Fireworks Spectacular on April 17th.  Following the 7:05 PM game with the Modesto Nuts the 66ers will light up the night sky with their first fireworks show of the year.

Fans will want to get their tickets quickly for the 66ers biggest promotions of the year.  Including our Manny Ramirez 66ers Bobblehad giveaway Sunday, June 13th, the 66ers July 3rd fireworks show, and an appearance from the world famous Laker Girls Friday, July 23rd.
